BALLET CLASSES

Ballet is an important foundation of dance. A classical dance form requiring precision and an understanding of how the body moves. These classes offer a strong focus on technique, musicality and performance skills. Dancers learn barre work, centre floor work, and skills across the floor in all classes.

JAZZ, CONTEMPORARY

& TAP CLASSES

Jazz and Contemporary classes offer a strong focus on traditional and current jazz/modern disciplines in technique, movement quality, and stretch and strength training. Our Tap classes focus on developing strong tap sounds and rhythm training in the centre and across the floor.

This environment was so immediately supportive and welcoming, and you can tell from the moment you arrive that all the dancers are so thrilled to be here.

I took dance for 15 years (many years ago and at another studio) and I was sort of reticent about allowing my son to take dance, even though it's his passion, because I had a very hit or miss experience with dance teachers, many of whom were exceptionally critical.
Exceleration is nothing like my own experience, and nothing like you may have seen on certain "reality shows."

The teachers here are warm, kind and passionate. The students seem almost hand-picked to be supportive of each other rather than competitive with one another. The facilities are amazing, and the leadership goes out of their way to make the studios inviting (balloon arch and sparkle wall to greet the dancers back after summer? amazing!)
But lest you think this studio is all sparkle and no substance, don't be fooled. In just the first week of classes my son has learned two different combos, as well as key components of stretching and technique. Already he's learned more than in an entire year of another dance program.

If you're looking for a supportive place where your kid will be accepted for who they are, and will also be challenged to be the best dancer they can be, this is the place for you!

HIP HOP & COMMERCIAL

DANCE CLASSES

A street style dance class with a relaxed but fun atmosphere! Dancers work on their strength and cardio through energetic warm ups, while practicing musicality, accent work, tricks, and footwork. Classes learn combos in various sub-genres of hip-hop.

EXCEL KIDS CLASSES

Excel Kids classes are for our youngest dancers, 2-6 years of age. They will learn to follow along, learn beginning skills and work on music and dance concepts that are age appropriate. They are combination classes to expose them to different styles of dance at an early age.
